What We Do
Fowler Electric provides commercial electrical and construction services including new construction, renovation, additions, service upgrades, UPS or power generator back-up systems, fire alarms, and security systems. We have helped our clients with design-build, design-assist, value engineering, and installation of engineer-specified projects. Our people will provide high-quality service on multi-family residences including student and senior housing, hospitality, medical, retail, or institutional facilities. We are currently licensed in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee.

Multi-Generational Family Business
Our family has been in the electrical contracting business since 1962 when Lewis Fowler started Fowler Electric Co., Inc. Lewis Fowler successfully completed commercial projects such as the Winn Dixie Distribution Facility, MARTA rail stations, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and the Twin Towers project for the State of Georgia. In 1983, Steve Fowler Electrical Contractors began operations as an open shop contractor performing electrical services for several high-rise projects including Park Place Towers, Mayfair Towers, Club Towers, Marriott at Midtown, and others. In 1991, we started Fowler Electric as a new open shop firm with no prior connections to collective bargaining. This allows our operation to focus on the best methods available to perform electrical services and installation for our clients. Derrick G. Fowler currently operates the business with 39 years of experience in the industry.
